Last month, we realized that it had been almost 6 months since we had all been together in a room with an opportunity to really play. One week later, we got together at my studio in Brooklyn with no agenda other than reacquainting ourselves with the music that we missed. The result was a handful of recorded material - some new songs, some old songs, some borrowed.

We are joined by some very good friends near and far on this EP. On fiddle is Katie Shore who I met while opening for her incredible band, Asleep at the Wheel. On pedal steel, we have one of the original members of TNR and long time creative partner, Jonny Lam. On piano is my great friend, the one and only Brian Mitchell from The Levon Helm Midnight Ramble Band.

After listening back, we realized how much fun we had playing together again after so long and decided to make it a regular thing. We’re going to meet every month, record whatever comes to mind, and share it with you all for Bandcamp Fridays. I hope you enjoy the first volume of this series - “In Due Time.”
